Hi all! I thought I’d show you the progress stages of a commission I’ve been working on for Natalie, one of my longtime and favourite clients. First off, pencils!

Natalie sent me one-para descriptions on each of her characters, and I sketched out what I envisioned based on her descriptions. I then sent them over to her for approval before going on to the next stage.

We actually had a bit of a laugh, because I had instinctively chosen the above pose for the female char, and without knowing it, it turned out to be almost exactly like a picture Natalie had been using for her own reference. Talk about psychically bizarre, eh?
